I was gifted
With ebony hair
And sapphire eyes.
My body was ripe and round,
Wrapped in milky skin.
That made the soldiers groan
And grab and—moan.
I was gifted
With silver brushes
Crimson flowers and fruit
Juices dripped from my chin.
Milky chocolates plumped breasts
That heaved and swayed
As music danced—played.
I was gifted
With seductive magic
That turned the villagers envy green.
They tied my hair
To the tail of a horse.
And drove it onward
With jeers and laughter
Here to sleep forever—after.
Insanity.
Vanity.
